When horn is full of milk, release suction by compressing the bulb, or by pushing the breast from the horn with your finger. Note: Use the milk immediately or pour milk into a sterile container and refrigerate.
Cleaning, Disinfecting and Storage: Separate bulb from horn. Place parts, bulb and horn into a pan of boiling water for 20 minutes. Prevent the parts from direct contact with pan or utensil by using an insert, basket, or similar holder. Also, always have enough water in pan to maintain boiling procedure. After parts have been carefully removed from pan, and cooled, moisten the rim of the bulb opening before re-attaching bulb to horn. Air dry and store in cool dry place.
