The Pin-X Brand Pinworm Treatment package of 12, is a convenient orange flavored, chewable tablet. That particularly appeals to children two to twelve years old, who most often contract pinworms. Usually, either product requires only a single dose to eliminate pinworms inside the body. However, because pinworms are highly contagious, it is recommended that all family members and even children's playmates be treated. Pinworm eggs become infective soon after being deposited on the skin by the adult female pinworm. They can survive up to two weeks on clothing, bedding, or other objects. Therefore, a two-dose course is recommended, with the second dose given two weeks after the first.
