Robitussin Cough and Chest Congestion DM Max: control cough plus thin and loosen mucus with our latest cough and chest congestion relief formula. Get twice the mucus relieving ingredient as our Cough & Chest Congestion DM. This non-drowsy formula is ideal for those nasty colds that include cough and chest congestion. INGREDIENTS: Active Ingredients: Dextromethorphan HBr, USP 10 mg Cough suppressant. Guaifenesin, USP 200 mg Expectorant. Inactive Ingredients: Anhydrous citric acid, artificial and natural flavors, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, D and C red no. 33, FD and C red no. 40, glycerin, high fructose corn syrup, menthol, micRocrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, povidone, propylene glycol, purified water, saccharin sodium, sodium benzoate, sorbitol solution, xanthan gum . DIRECTIONS: shake well before using. Do not take more than 6 doses in any 24-hour period. - adults and children 12 years and over 2 teaspoons every 4 hours.
- children 6 years to under 12 years 1 teaspoons every 4 hours.
- children 2 years to under 6 years + teaspoons every 4 hours.
- children under 2 years do not use.
Other information each teaspoon contains: sodium 5 mg. Store at 20-25 Degrees C (68-77 Degrees F). Alcohol-free. Dosage cup provided. WARNINGS: Do not use in a child under 2 years of age. If you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional conditions, or Parkinsons disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.
Ask a doctor before use if you have cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus). Cough that lasts or is chronic such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema.
Stop use and ask a doctor if cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or is accompanied by fever, rash, or persistent headache. These could be signs of a serious condition.
If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.
